From waste to new products: Amcor to demonstrate circular capabilities at PRSE 2026

ZURICH, April 30, 2026 — Amcor (NYSE: AMCR, ASX: AMC), a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, will showcase how recycled plastics are converted into new packaging at scale at the Plastic Recycling Show Europe (PRSE) 2026, taking place at RAI Amsterdam from 5-6 May.
The Amcor stand (B120) will highlight how a circular approach supports customers in meeting evolving regulatory requirements, including upcoming measures under the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), while maintaining performance and consistency in demanding packaging applications.
“Across Europe, increasing volumes of plastic waste are being collected and processed. The challenge continues to be the development and incorporation of high-quality recycled material into high-performance packaging,” said Gerald Rebitzer, Vice President, Sustainability & Advocacy at Amcor.

At PRSE, Amcor will highlight its industrial-scale recycling capabilities across polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Its mechanical recycling operations for flexible films produce specification-grade post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, including Amcor’s Sustane® recycled polymer, for use in non-contact-sensitive flexible packaging applications such as shrink films, stretch films and other industrial uses.
In parallel, the company’s CleanStream® technology processes household PP waste into high-quality recycled material suitable for contact-sensitive applications, such as in the personal care sector.
In addition, Amcor will present its work in advanced recycling, including an advanced recycling pilot at its Heanor site in the UK, expanding the range of applications for recycled flexible plastics.
Amcor’s approach to circularity is supported by a combination of in-house recycling capabilities and strategic sourcing partnerships across the value chain.
The stand will also highlight the role of Amcor’s multiple Innovation Centers in supporting material development and testing, enabling the expansion of applications for recycled content.
Members of the Amcor team will also participate in the PRSE Conference, which runs alongside the exhibition. Mike Baxter, Director Government Relations, will take part in a panel discussion titled “What Next for Plastics Packaging?” on Wednesday 6 May.
