At Amcor, we know the foodservice industry is evolving—and fast. Retailers, caterers, and commercial kitchens across Europe are looking for smarter, more sustainable ways to operate, and we’re proud to be part of that solution.

That’s why we’re excited to officially launch our Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouches in Europe. Following a successful rollout in North America, we’re bringing this recycle-ready, mono-material bulk packaging innovation to foodservice customers across the continent.

What Makes Liquiflex® AmPrima® Different?

The European launch of Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouches aligns with the transition of the foodservice sector to more sustainable and lightweight packaging formats. We created this solution specifically with foodservice needs in mind: think large volumes, high turnover, and limited storage space. Liquiflex® AmPrima® delivers on all fronts. In fact, the pouches take up only a fraction of the storage space before filling compared to traditional canned packaging, and pack tighter than cans when filled.

Engineered in line with the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), the lightweight design and recycle-readiness of Liquiflex® AmPrima® allows for potential savings in EPR fees and Plastic Tax when compared to heavier containers 1.

Compared to standard heavier packaging, Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouches also offer a carbon footprint reduction of up to 79%, with a 75% reduction to the use of non-renewable energy and an 84% reduction in water consumption 2. These reductions have been calculated by Amcor’s ASSET life cycle assessment methodology, which is certified by The Carbon Trust.

A Smart Move for the Future of Foodservice

From 2030, plastic packaging used in the European Union will need to incorporate a minimum percentage of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content under newly introduced PPWR regulations. Amcor’s Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouches can incorporate food-contact compatible PCR content upon request.

New regulations will also encourage the adoption of refillable condiment dispensers in restaurants and hospitality environments, replacing single serve units such as small condiment sachets. This transition will mean more foodservice customers will look to introduce pump dispensers for convenience. The Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouch can be fitted with a pump or spout dispenser to become a functional refill pack.

Perfect for Sauces, Dressings, and More

One of the best things about Liquiflex® AmPrima® is its versatility. Whether you're packaging:

  • Dressings and condiments
  • Frozen vegetables
  • Sauces and soups
  • Protein-based products

This pouch can handle it while keeping everything fresh, safe, and easy to dispense.
