General Announcement

August 15, 2018

Customers, investors and other stakeholders appreciate Amcor’s long-time sustainability leadership. So does the FTSE4Good Index, which recently acknowledged the company’s strong environmental, social and governance practices for a 12th straight year.

FTSE4Good paper

Global packaging company, Amcor, has been listed in the FTSE4Good Index every year since 2006.

“We are constantly lowering the effect of our operations on the environment and improving the recyclability and reusability of the packaging we develop and produce,” said David Clark, Amcor’s Vice President of Sustainability.

“Our objective is to make everything we do better for people, products and the world around us.”

According to Mr. Clark, the FTSE4Good Index listing particularly recognises Amcor’s effectiveness in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, waste and water use through the company’s EnviroAction program across its more than 200 sites. Every Amcor location sets and works to meet or beat ambitious goals for environmental protection, waste management and community good.

The FTSE4Good Index helps investors assess the sustainability performance of publicly traded companies. In addition to the FTSE index, Amcor is listed in the CDP Climate Disclosure Leadership Index, Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Australia and Asia Pacific, MSCI Global Sustainability Index and Ethibel Excellence Investment Register, and considered a “leading company” by the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors.
