VIVIL select Amcor E-Close® for new Dragée Praliné

Seeking differentiation and a fast introduction to market, VIVIL searched for packaging that offered the consumer easy opening and re-close functionality without the need for VIVIL to modify their own equipment. Together with the Amcor Flexibles team in Schüpbach, Switzerland, the pouch-laminate was developed and ready for market within three months. “Working in collaboration with Amcor Flexibles, we feel that the joint project team has been able to provide the market with a unique and exciting product and pack in a short period of time” commented Dr. Alexander Müller-Vivil, CEO Vivil.

Importantly for the consumer, Amcor E-Close® not only provides easy opening and access to the Dragée Pralinés, but it allows the pack to be re-closed using the pressure sensitive seal that is incorporated into the flexible laminate. By incorporating the re-seal into the film, this unique pack minimises the use of additional packaging materials such as zippers and stickers that are commonly used for re-closing of packaging. Amcor Flexibles E-Close® is suitable for a wide range of products including confectionery, snack foods, dehydrated foods, fresh foods and pet foods. The film can be used on a large variety of equipment without the need to invest in special features such as zipper-applicators, cutting devices or label-dispensers.

VIVIL Dragée Pralinés in this new and innovative pack are available at German Super Stores. Amcor Flexibles E-Close® can also be seen at Interpack 2008 running on Rovema VFFS-machines in Hall 15, B25/C38 and on Multivac Thermoforming machines in Hall 5, C23/D24.
