Leading Belgian company uses Amcor packaging in new product range

Roger and Roger, a leading Belgian processor and manufacturer of potato products have re-launched its Croky Potato Chips range using Amcor Flexibles’ Monoflex™ packaging material.

July 3, 2008

Seeking to provide consumers with the benefits of a multi-pack and improved on-shelf presence, Roger and Roger worked with their packaging machine supplier and Amcor Flexibles to collaboratively develop a new filling and packing process that enabled the introduction of Croky multi-packs to the market. “Working with both Amcor Flexibles and our machine supplier, we were able to adopt vertical filling of our potato chips, introduce a new mixed multi-pack range, and introduce a new pack type, Amcor Monoflex™ in a very short period of time. We have already seen a positive reaction in the marketplace from our new range” commented Peter Van Dael, Operations Manager from Roger and Roger.

The choice of Amcor’s Monoflex™ packaging material has enabled Roger and Roger to pack their Croky range in a pack that offers tear resistance, pack stiffness, and high puncture resistance – all attributes that enable snack manufacturers to improve the on-shelf appearance and appeal of their products.

Launched early in 2008, Croky is available in retail stores across Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg.
