BevNET Live Set to Deliver Industry Insights with Amcor Support

May 6, 2009
Thinking about producing and marketing your own special beverage or looking for ways to nurture and grow a fledgling brand? Then you want to attend BevNET Live, a special forum on growing and emerging beverage businesses. Amcor PET Packaging is a corporate sponsor for the annual event, to be held on May 14th at the historic Jumeirah Essex House in New York City.
Amcor PET is proud to be a sponsor for this one-day event that is jam-packed with panel discussions, presentations, case studies and more. On the agenda are beverage industry experts representing every category, from product development, packaging, and distribution, to retailing, investing, and marketing. The forum also will include entrepreneurs who will speak from firsthand experience.
“This forum offers an excellent opportunity for new and emerging companies to gain valuable and practical insights that will help them launch beverage brands or take their businesses to the next level,” said Jeff DeLiberty, Amcor Director of Business Development. “It is a whole different environment out there in today’s economy. Even firms that are relatively well established have much to gain by participating in this exchange.”
BevNET Live panelists and presenters begin the day with “Growing Brands in a Tough Economy,” followed by sessions such as “Product Innovation Forum: What the Consumer Wants,” case studies on Brand Building by several beverage entrepreneurs, plus an on-the-spot review and critique of three companies’ products. Keynote speaker Hal Kravitz, President of Glaceau, will address the challenge of scaling brands and product ideas to fit the scope of a Coke-sized enterprise. Sessions on distribution, money and investment issues and exit strategies will round out the event.
Amcor-sponsored Sampling Bar provides two-way product exposure
The morning and afternoon Forum breaks offer even more opportunities for insights and that’s when the focus shifts to the Sampling Bar. Attendees can try new, innovative products provided by their contemporaries while exchanging ideas.
“We are excited about our support of this event,” DeLiberty said. “It’s another chance to educate people with industry-advancing product ideas and then enable them to make those advances a reality.
“Amcor has helped numerous small firms grow their businesses by providing packaging that differentiates their products on the shelf and can withstand the necessary filling requirements and logistical challenges to arrive on the shelf in pristine condition. Often we also assist them through a myriad of challenges such as finding contract fillers and co-packers, resolving labeling issues and more. BevNET Live provides a venue filled with real-world insights and makes it easy for beverage entrepreneurs to connect with companies such as ours. Everyone wins at an event like this.”
