The results of this year’s Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) results are in, and we’re excited to announce that Amcor has excelled.

Each year, RobecoSAM, an investment specialist focused on sustainability investing, helps identify companies that are responding to sustainability-related trends. Their assessment includes conducting an analysis of how different companies anticipate and manage any current or future environmental and social opportunities.
This year we are included in the following DJSI indices:
Australia Index (top 30% of 200 listed on the ASX).
Asia Pacific Index (top 20% of the 600 largest companies on the S&P Global).
World Index (top 10% of the 2,500 largest companies on the S&P Global Broad Market Index).
We’re the only packaging company listed on the Asia Pacific and Australian indices.
Amcor Safety, Environment and Sustainability Vice President David Clark is proud that Amcor’s social responsibility and sustainability program has been recognised by the DJSI organisers.
“It’s a credit to all of our co-workers who support our programs, and to our leadership for supporting them as a part of Amcor’s values.
“The feedback we get from participating in the DJSI helps to inform our business as the bar is raised each year.”
How Amcor performed
Amcor received the top score and placed in the 100th percentile for customer relationship management, impact measurement and valuation, materiality, environmental reporting, and operation eco-efficiency.
Other sections we scored well in were climate strategy (96th percentile) and corporate citizenship (95th percentile).
The results have given Amcor further impetus to continue driving sustainability initiatives and to become one of the most sustainability-focused companies in the world.
