Amcor and Reckitt strengthen partnership through innovation

Amcor and multinational consumer goods company Reckitt recently marked a milestone in collaboration — hosting a first-of-its-kind, simultaneous innovation day event across four Latin American countries. Held in May in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, the hybrid event brought together teams from both companies in real time, creating a dynamic forum for exploring tailored packaging solutions and forward-looking ideas.
The goal of the event was to identify new growth opportunities supporting Reckitt’s three key priorities: productivity through packaging harmonization; sustainability; and, innovation.
Amcor mobilized cross-functional teams from Sales, Marketing, R&D and Amcor’s collaborative innovation program, Catalyst™. Together, they conducted in-depth briefings and visited Reckitt facilities in each country to understand the unique operational realities and shared challenges the company faced in the region.
“Our aim was to move beyond simply listening,” said Joaquín Savid, Global Key Accounts Director, Amcor Flexibles Latin America. “We wanted to show Reckitt that we understood their business and could respond with focused, practical innovations that speak directly to their goals.”
The single-day event was kicked off with a hybrid presentation of proposed packaging innovations, connecting teams from both companies across the region. Reckitt teams joined in person at Amcor sites — including INOVA, Amcor’s innovation center in Sao Paulo, Brazil — and remotely, with all participants given physical mock-ups to enable tactile engagement with the products and share feedback in real time.
