Pay: $33.00-$35.00/hour ** based on experience

About the Role
Amcor is hiring a Quality Technician to support manufacturing operations and ensure high-quality products are delivered to our customers. In this role, you will provide quality systems support, perform testing and inspections, investigate quality concerns, and work closely with production teams to maintain compliance with customer specifications and company standards.


What You'll Do

  • Act as a safety leader and promote a safety-first culture
  • Support process improvement and quality initiatives across the facility
  • Communicate quality concerns, risks, and issues to appropriate personnel
  • Perform and document film and bag quality testing per technical specifications and inspection methods
  • Collect quality data and complete computer-based data entry and reporting
  • Assist with quality department projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Train and support operators in performing quality checks and inspections
  • Perform instrument verification, calibration, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
  • Place materials on quality hold and release material according to established procedures
  • Perform retesting and laboratory evaluations on suspect materials
  • Maintain quality records, test data, and associated documentation
  • Utilize and support the AIMS Quality Dashboard
  • Perform SAP transactions and maintain quality-related system records
  • Identify quality defects and help determine potential root causes
  • Support technical teams with quality verification activities and customer return evaluations
  • Properly complete quality documentation and maintain product safety standards
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Must Have
  • 2-3 years of experience in blown film, flexographic printing, adhesive lamination, or flexible packaging manufacturing
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience performing inspections, quality testing, and documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback professionally

Preferred
  • Experience with quality systems, document control, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with SAP transactions and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of inspection methods, calibration practices, and laboratory testing techniques
  • Understanding of Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) requirements
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving experience
  • Experience training and coaching production personnel on quality standards
