Job Description
Pay: The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $23.64; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $23.64 and $29.55.
Shift: This is a three days a week role, 8 hours a day.
· Understand and follow Emergency Procedures, including evacuation routes, fire response, and severe weather protocols
· Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing equipment.
· Follow Fall Protection requirements when working at elevated heights.
· Utilize proper Ladder Safety practices during inspections and maintenance activities.
· Report accidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions using the company database.
· Complete maintenance records, inspections, and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
· Conduct routine inspections of building.
· Troubleshoot and conduct minor repairs to maintain building appearance and functionality.
· Ensure areas remain organized, clean, and safe.
· Support compliance with ISO and SQF standards and participate in audits as required.
AUTHORITIES
· Maintain knowledge of building layout and access points.
· Location and operate utility shutoff systems including water, gas, electric, and emergency shutoffs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma
· Basic mechanical and maintenance skills
· Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
· Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
· Preferred building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience.
· Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
· Familiarity with ISO and SQF standards
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions.
· Ability to perform physical maintenance activities throughout the facility.
· Basic trouble shooting skills.
· Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance for a minimum of 4 times per hour. Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum of 5 times per day
· Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance at a minimum of 3 times per day.
· Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others.
· Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms, and horns on forklifts.
· Stereoptic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater.
· Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
· Verbal communication adequate to use a radio to contact other co-workers in other areas of the warehouse.
· Able to work overhead or in awkward positions on a frequent basis.
· Able to stand/walk 7 hours of an 8 hour shift
