Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with production floor employees and QA Inspectors from all shifts
- Assist the Quality Engineer and Quality Team Leader to maintain and ensure an accurate measuring and testing system to include all quality labs, QA cup robots and QA lid robots.
- Assist the Quality Engineer in working with Product Development on CQV runs, size studies, or any other sample runs
- Maintain the daily gage verification log for all manual equipment and cup/lid robots
- Maintain the daily data log of the inspector's verifications 2x/shift to assure process control
- Educate inspectors and other departments on procedures regarding new products or tests
- Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department of health requirements.
- Assist other departments as requested by the Quality Manager or Plant Manager.
- Any other duties assigned by the Quality Manager or Plant Manager up to and including additional leak testing
- Perform duties in the absence of key personnel.
- Oversee/participate in training of inspectors including new hires and training on new equipment/procedures.
- Preform required daily audits on the production floor.
- Oversee that all Quality team members are performing all required tasks.
- Hold and release product as needed for production.
- Share shift information in SharePoint along with physical pass down with oncoming/outgoing shifts.
- Act as a float in the lab to fill in and help where needed.
- Must have knowledge of or learn about production procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to calculate parts requirements
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous quality assurance experience preferred
- Computer skills (Proficient in Microsoft Office, Minitab, SPC, and Ignition)
- Ability to communicate with team members, management and production in a professional manor
- Must be able to work all shifts
- Must be able to be on call for any shift at any time
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
