Job Description

Job Title: Quality Auditor
Reports To: Quality Manager
Summary: The Quality Auditor serves as the lead quality authority for
their individual plants. Work closely with Quality Coordinator, develops, implements, maintains, and continually improves the facility’s quality management
system to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory
requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
 Provides supervision of Quality Inspectors/Auditors.
 Provides technical support to plant personnel on various quality functions and
specialized software applications.
 Serves as the facility ISO 9000 Management Representative.
 Communicates quality results to the organization, and as needed to the
customer.
 Establishes and maintains the organization’s quality documentation system,
which includes the quality policy, quality objectives, quality manual, quality
procedures, work instructions, quality records, and other supportive quality
documents to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
 Serves as a liaison with the customer regarding quality issues, and works closely
with the customer to continually improve the organization’s quality management
system in order to meet or exceed the customer’s requirements.
 Manages internal and supplier audit process; establishes scheduling; prepares
checklists; assigns audit teams; conducts audits; issues corrective actions; and
monitors effectiveness of corrective actions.
 Responsible for processing vendor claims and monitoring supplier performance.
 Effectively interacts with all departments, suppliers, and customers in support of
integrated management system processes.
 Serves as a technical resource for problem-solving regarding quality issues and
chromatographic problems, both at the local and sector levels.

 Serves as liaison with external auditors, and maintains quality system
certification.
 Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for OHSE, personal
protection, and hazard materials/waste handling according to established
guidelines.
 Participates in continuous improvement efforts intended to add value and to
promote customer satisfaction.
 Supports and promotes OHSE objectives and ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18000
requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS
The individual in this position must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
when needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in chemistry,
engineering, quality, business, or related field.
 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. Experience should include supervision of a work group, management of
quality systems, computer software experience, including database management,
and technical expertise in chromatography and statistical process control; strong oral
and written communication skills, knowledge of ISO Standard requirements, and
experience with Agilent gas chromatographs, chromatographic software and quality
management software systems is desirable.
 C.I. training to include LSS, Green Belt, Quality systems.

focus. Must be able to travel both domestic and international.
