Job Description

Shuttle Driver/Warehouse Duties

  • Be a Role Model – No exceptions from safety absolutes and plant rules.  What you say and do impacts everyone on your shift.  Positively and Negatively.
  • If you feel a task that you have been asked to complete is unsafe, stop and request additional information.
  • Take Two – THINK!!!, ASK!!!, KNOW!!!, safely EXECUTE
  • Take immediate action to address a safety hazard
  • Visible participation in pre shift meets reiterating safety
  • Daily review housekeeping with focus on your areas;  don’t settle
  • Daily conduct conversations with team members on safety
  • Respond to employee concerns with the respect that it deservers
  • Participate in EHS Framework scoring and improvement plans
  • Do not communicate mixed message.  Reiterate that nothing is as important as safety.
  • Perform daily Tractor/Trailer Inspections, inform Management of any issues (i.e. safety, mechanical)
  • Wrap & corner board shuttle product as needed to assure product can be shipped without damage.
  • Shuttle finished goods to and from Main Warehouse to offsite storage.
  • Account for all product being moved with scanners.
  • Inventory trailers in parking lot every morning
  • Place trailers in docks as needed (outbound and skid trailers)
  • Works in a safe manner while consistently demonstrating a Gung Ho attitude.
  • Work with Department Head to help increase shipping efficiency
  • Report any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions
  • Must know how to perform the following Warehouse functions:

a. Remove skids from the Packing lines

b. Put product away into Warehouse locations

c. Pull product for orders, repacks, and samples

d. Know how to prepare skids for shipment

e. Load finished product skids onto trucks

f. Unload/Receive truck deliveries, distribute packages to buyers

  • Consolidate product when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized Warehouse
  • Assist in other areas of the Warehouse when needed

Requirements:

1.  Must have a valid CDL  for 1 Year

2.  Must have a valid CDL physical

3.  Must be forklift certified

4.  Must operate forklift safely

5.  Must be familiar with JDE, and other pertinent computer applications

6.  Must be able to lift 30 lbs. multiple times a day

7.  Must be able to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance
