Job Description

Summary:  The individual will assist in completion of organization responsibilites in all functional areas within the Warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  • JDE trained to perform inquiries: Orders, BOLs, Inventory, PO's, Requisitions, Ship Confirm, Release Partial Shipments
  • TMC trained on inbound and outboard freight (not including small packages) for Auto Tendering, Book to Select or Spot Bidding Loads; able to merge loads/unmerge loads, activity board use and manual BOLs
  • Ability to schedule a load with understanding and use of Dock Management System, releasing a SCHEDULED load back to CS, able to schedule a load with no order details and schedule Multiple Stop Truck.
  • Ability to run and maintain shipping paperwork including: Print BOLs/ Pack Slip/ Reprocess/ Cancel Bill of Lading/ Master BOL
  • Ability to process miscellaneous notes for Shipping from CS regarding the load, F8 notes placed on the load for future reference, run Bill of Lading inquiry, check on freight class maintenance and freight terms
  • Process all inbound loads and ensure inventory accuracy upon receipt
  • Proces all receiving of purchased parts/materials and communicate with proper departments
  • Run labels - LTL, Run paperwork for LTL shipments for carrier pickup
  • FedEx and UPS trained
  • Understand and locate ISO/ C Pro procedures
  • Must be able to obtain a fork truck license to assist on the warehouse floor
  • Check drivers and visitors into/out of the facility with proper identification, credentials and equipment
  • Understand and will adhere to all ISO & SQF guidelines and policies
  • Track and monitor carrier detention
  • Coordinate all drop trailer shipments
  • Work independently in an office space
  • Communicate effectively in person with third parties, drivers, vendors and visitors in a composed and professional manner
  • Perform all other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/ GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of computers and proven ability to apply that knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Verbal communication skills are necessary to communicate by telephone
  • Prior shipping experience preferred
  • Ability to work in extreme heat or cold
  • Demonstrated ability in conflict de-escalation
  • Flexible and able to work in a diverse culture
