Utility Operator - Molding Operations

Location: Cumberland, Maryland
Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift
Status: Full-Time

About the Role

Amcor is seeking a Utility Operator to support our Molding Operations team. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will ensure production areas remain supplied with materials, packaging, and work-in-process inventory while supporting safety, quality, and production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply production lines with cartons, packaging materials, and WIP inventory.
  • Transport finished goods to staging and warehouse areas using pallet jacks and approved equipment.
  • Support operators and inspectors to ensure efficient production flow.
  • Perform product inspections and relieve inspectors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate counts of finished goods and scrap.
  • Follow all safety, quality, GMP, and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment using 5S principles.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to read work instructions and production documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $17.50 per hour; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience between $17.50 per hour and $20.50 per hour.
