About the Role

As a Resin Material Handler, you will play a critical role in supporting thermoform production operations by ensuring materials, resin, and supplies are available, properly stored, accurately tracked, and delivered where needed. You will help maintain an organized and efficient production environment by managing material movement, inventory transactions, trailer loading and unloading, and recycling processes. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping production areas stocked and organized, supporting production teams with material needs, and ensuring all materials are properly labeled, covered, scanned, and stored according to company requirements. You will also help maintain compliance with safety, quality, food safety, and operational standards while contributing to a clean, safe, and productive work environment. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous support of manufacturing operations. This role works closely with production personnel to help ensure materials flow efficiently and production goals are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all required materials and supplies are available and ready for production at the start of each shift.

  • Respond promptly to production support requests and assist manufacturing operations as needed.

  • Properly label, cover, and store recycled materials in designated storage areas.

  • Load and unload trailers containing production materials, recyclable materials, and waste products.

  • Conduct and document daily pre-operation safety inspections of powered industrial equipment, including forklifts.

  • Accurately complete shipping and inventory documentation for materials being transported or stored.

  • Perform trailer inspections and complete required documentation before loading or unloading activities.

  • Follow all company safety, quality, food safety, and manufacturing standards and procedures.

  • Maintain awareness of company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.

  • Complete assigned cleaning and housekeeping tasks in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Support production and warehouse operations by performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent .Or previous experience.

  • Organizational Skills.

  • Must have good work and attendance record at Berry Plastics.

  • Good reading comprehension and basic math skills

  • Be a team player.

  • Able to work with limited supervision.

  • Must possess valid drivers license

  • Fork Truck experience with certification

    Physical Qualifications

    • Ability to lift 35 pounds to waist level.

    • Ability to handle and pull full totes with fork truck.

    • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop during entire shift.

    Additional Information:

    Compensation: Starting at $21.53 hourly plus shift differential

    Work Schedule: 7:00pm-7:00am following a 2-2-3 schedule (every other weekend off!)
