About the Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout our facilities. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing break rooms, restrooms, offices, warehouses, and other assigned areas to support day-to-day operations and ensure company cleanliness standards are met. In this role, you will empty trash receptacles, sweep entryways and common areas, and perform general housekeeping and janitorial duties throughout the facility. You will also assist the Groundskeeper/Handyman with maintaining outdoor break areas and designated smoking areas across all three buildings. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help create a safe and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with team members as needed. This position requires a strong work ethic, a focus on safety, and the ability to perform a variety of physical cleaning tasks both inside and outside of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize break rooms and restrooms
- Clean offices
- Clean warehouses
- Assist Groundskeeper/Handyman with outside break areas and outside smoking areas at all 3 buildings.
- Emptying of trash receptacles
- Sweeping of general and entry areas
- And any other janitorial upkeep of assigned areas and other duties as assigned by responsible parties.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to communicate deficiencies
- Ability to perform janitorial tasks in accordance with ISO/SQF guidelines
- Able to perform manual labor tasks as assigned
- Work In a safe manner in accordance to federal and company policies
- Able to follow federal and company policies and procedures
- Proven ability to work as a team
- Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to clean a wide range of areas, both inside and outside of buildings
- Attend department and plant meetings and training
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Ability to work from heights, including ascending/descending ladders
- Ability to wear all provided personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in high noise environment
Additional Information
Compensation: Starting pay $18.87 plus shift differential
Schedule: 11:00pm-7:30am in a manufacturing envrionment
