Job Description
- Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.
- Work in a professional manner with other associates.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area. Responsible for keeping colorant area clean and organized.
- Clean color barrels to ensure there is nothing that could potentially contaminate the colorant.
- Responsible for prepping machines for ALL color and resin changes.
- Stock machines with correct materials by reading traveler, interpreting and processing lot information and material type.
- Ensure the color barrels do not run out of colorant to prevent the machine from running off color parts.
- Assist mold technicians with color changes, getting materials such as foil or cleaner, and other tasks as needed.
- Maintain regrind when needed.
- Clean up after color changes if necessary and the production floor as needed (vacuuming and sweeping).
- Pick up purge from each machine daily.
- Compact cardboard.
- Must be able to log in and scan color in and out of Z00/ST00.
- Take inventory of color weekly by weighing the color with the forklift.
- Must be a certified forklift driver.
- Perform daily inspections on forklift. Turn into ISO/SQF weekly.
- As needed, weigh color and properly label container for it to be shipped to another company or Amcor location.
- Use problem-solving skills to handle situations that may arise.
- Various other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for equal periods.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Forklift Certified
- Frequent exposure to production and warehouse floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to: Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hi-Viz Vest, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
- Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions.
