Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW: Under the direction of the production manager, coordinates and oversee production (people and processes) in accordance with established policies, principles and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES, including but not limited to:
Skilled in the operation of Injection Molding equipment. Sustain the established molding process and cycle time reductions on high cavitation / high volume single face and stack molds. Skilled in the operation of lining and assembly equipment. Sustain the established rates on the finishing machines. Provides direction, training, coaching, and leadership to manufacturing staff (mechanics, utility and service workers, operators, etc) Implements plans for efficient use of resources including materials, equipment and personnel. Troubleshoots and directs repairs to injection and finishing as needed resulting from root cause analysis to determine what actions can be taken immediately and/or what appropriate personnel need to be called. Leads and participates in cross functional process improvement teams. Actively participates in daily team production meetings – communicates key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement. Completes QRQC when assigned. Responsible for 5S environment in work area. Address employee inquiries, complaints and resolves problems by using appropriate resources / other departments to achieve results / answers Sets / communicates clear expectations and holds personnel accountable for attaining those standards Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies. Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement. Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates organizational skills and is very detail oriented. Professional with at least 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing and lifting. Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task environment. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Computer experience is preferred JDE experience is preferred
