Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting the deploying, training, and implementation of Continuous Improvement methodologies for Amcor Specialty Films. The incumbent will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
- Training of CI in the facility. Facilitate deployment and integrate the philosophy of CI initiatives into the culture of the business.
- Supports production and operations to ensure production of a quality product, deliver against our committed customer service goals, and optimize efficiency/productivity.
- Support employee training to further instill the continuous improvement skill set in the organization.
- Develops new processes and programs as needed and where gaps exist.
- Lead projects as necessary to improve business results.
- Drive OEE improvement through the extraction of useful data from a variety of systems and the facilitation and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Assist in establishment of metrics, generating reporting tools and progress reporting
- Utilize an approachable and participative style in motivating people to achieve higher standards and performance levels
- Ability to quantify results, identify new opportunities, adapt to change, and interface with all levels of management on a continual basis.
- Support 5S plant-wide through kaizen events and audit processes
- Further develop PCS in the facility through coordination with department leaders of the development of machine boards, department boards, plant boards, and meeting structures

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc…)
- High energy individual
- Demonstrated ability to drive the CI culture
- Demonstrated strong communication skills.
- Experience in operations, manufacturing, process improvement or a related area.
- Six Sigma Certification at the Green Belt level, or a willingness to obtain such certification upon acceptance of this role
- Knowledge of the flexible packaging industry
