Job Description

-Assures safety initiatives are being followed, identify/resolve risks and initiate/participate accident investigations.
Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
2. Complete a minimum of 2 Observation and 2 Near Miss audits per month.
 

Supports Produciton Control Plan by maintaining part quality per specification; Accountable for all quality 2-hour checks on the shift (Picasso Room)
-Monitors process control plan by ensuring all process inputs are followed (no changes are made to the process but all inputs are verified to be operating within process parameters).
-Ensure responses to corrective action requests are accurate, complete, and timely.
-Ensure all NCR's identified on the shift caught in the 2&6 hour checks are reworked during shift.

Production Systems (Barco and JDE) - Picasso Room
-Enters production and downtime accurately in System database.
-Verify completion of production paperwork before submitted.
-Verify raw materials are in the facility before needed.
-Monitor production schedule for upcoming machine/order changes.

People (Picasso Room)
-Ensures the proper training and development of all assigned employees for whom they are responsible.
-Leads teams and complete special projects as required.
-Achieve goals and ensure that all employees understand and work toward achieving goals.
-Motivates and coaches employees through good communication and frequent performance feedback.  Identifies and coordinates additional training as needed.
-Motivate employees in the interest of productivity, quality, morale, safety regulations and good housekeeping in accordance with company policy.
-Act as representative for Supervisor in their absence.

Operational
-Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure efficiency.
-Participates in scheduled Shift Leader Meetings.
-Prepare and distribute daily shift report.
-Execute shift handoffs daily Picasso Room (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Housekeeping & Staffing key issues)
-Schedule breaks and assist in relieving  and run machines when necessary
-Maintain daily communication sheet for shift changeovers for both departments, including all quality related issues, excessive downtime events and machine status at end of shift.

-Lead and support Continuous Improvement projects as assigned.

-Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.

-Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite software.

-Understanding of Production Monitoring Systems.

-Experience with problem solving methodologies.

-Administrative managerial skills, such as payroll/time & attendance reporting

-Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.

-Basic knowledge of SPC (statistical process control).

-Manufacturing environment.

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

-Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

-Some exposure to office environment.

-Must be able to stand/walk 80% of the time.

Schedule: 5:00 am - 5:15 pm. 36 48 schedule, rotating days

Pay: The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be 23.50; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience between 23.50 and 29.00.
