Job Description
The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $110,000 to $120,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-realted knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance activities supporting a 24-hour, seven-day-per-week blown film manufacturing operation. This position is accountable for maintaining safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing assets through effective leadership, maintenance planning, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
The Maintenance Manager leads a team of six maintenance technicians who support four rotating production crews (A, B, C, and D) while partnering closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to maximize equipment uptime and improve plant performance.
This position is responsible for balancing reactive maintenance with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies while developing technicians, improving equipment reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
This is a hands-on management position. The Maintenance Manager is expected to maintain a highly visible presence on the manufacturing floor and actively participate in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing critical equipment failures. The successful candidate will mentor technicians through hands-on coaching, support preventive maintenance activities, and lead equipment improvement initiatives while also managing departmental planning, budgeting, scheduling, and personnel responsibilities.
The Maintenance Manager is expected to lead by example and establish a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, urgency, equipment ownership, and continuous improvement.
Major Responsibilities
Demonstrated leadership position responsible for directing all maintenance operations supporting a 24/7 blown film manufacturing facility.
Provides leadership and technical direction for maintenance personnel while establishing maintenance priorities that maximize production uptime, equipment reliability, and employee safety.
Responsible for developing maintenance systems that reduce reactive maintenance while improving preventive maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability.
Works independently under general direction while collaborating with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to achieve business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Maintenance Manager is expected to perform the following duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based upon business needs.
Safety Leadership
- Follow all Amcor policies regarding Safety, Quality, Environmental Compliance, GMPs, and Attendance.
- Promote and lead a Zero Incident safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, NFPA 70E, confined space, machine guarding, and all regulatory requirements.
- Investigate maintenance-related incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure contractors comply with all plant safety requirements.
- Lead by example through safe work practices.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of six maintenance technicians.
- Establish clear performance expectations.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings.
- Complete annual performance evaluations.
- Develop technician training plans.
- Train and cross-train technicians to improve departmental flexibility.
- Address performance issues through coaching and progressive discipline.
- Build employee engagement and accountability.
Hands-On Technical Leadership
This position requires active participation in maintenance activities.
The Maintenance Manager is expected to:
- Maintain a visible presence on the production floor.
- Personally assist with complex troubleshooting.
- Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
- Support technicians during major equipment failures.
- Participate in preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist with rebuilds and major shutdown work.
- Lead equipment startup after major repairs.
- Mentor technicians during troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain proficiency in PLCs, drives, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop annual PM schedules.
- Ensure PM completion exceeds 95%.
- Continuously improve PM effectiveness.
- Manage predictive maintenance programs.
- Maintain lubrication schedules.
- Ensure accurate CMMS documentation.
- Maintain equipment history files.
- Plan maintenance shutdowns.
Production Support
Partner daily with:
- Plant Manager

Education and/or Experience
- Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology or related discipline preferred.
- Equivalent military or industrial technical experience will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum seven years industrial maintenance experience.
- Minimum three years maintenance leadership experience.
- Experience supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.
- Extrusion experience strongly required.
- Experience maintaining aging manufacturing equipment.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Experience with AC/DC drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial electrical systems, and mechanical power transmission.
