Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Follow all Company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance. Performs duties in a safe manner and reports all observed safety hazards to management. Acts as a role model for Safety on shift. Participates in safety programs by reporting Unsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts and Close Calls; enters Near Miss data and Observations into Global Data Center Database (GDC)
- Works with EHS segment for compliance.
- Regularly inspects and maintains production support equipment including but not limited to, Material Handling System, Printers, and Facility Maintenance.
- Assists with assembly, installation, disassembly, and demolition of production equipment and building support equipment as required for upgrades or new installations.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area; meets plant and department housekeeping standards. May be assigned additional responsibilities as needed to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Accurately records/documents detailed information regarding work performed.
- Works with contractors as needed for maintenance or project work.
- Maintains building and grounds.
- Basic Plumbing skills.
- Carpentry/Fabrication/Painting skills.
- Participate in employee driven teams and continuous improvement projects to address scrap, quality, safety or other production related issues.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
EDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years industrial maintenance, manufacturing, technical school &/or Associates degree from an accredited technical institute or combination education and experience.
- Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Good hand-eye coordination is required.
- Frequently required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
- Frequently exposed to fumes, or airborne particles.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
- Good communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
- Independent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as a cross-functional team member.

- Extensive knowledge with electrical, hydraulic and injection molding machines.
- Strong PLC programming skills.
- Ability to train others and work as a cross-functional team member.
