About the Role

In this role, you will support the daily coordination and execution of facility maintenance operations by helping manage workflows, vendor relationships, and departmental processes. You will play a key role in ensuring maintenance requests are routed efficiently, supplies and services are procured on time, and department activities remain organized and aligned with operational needs. You will work closely with the Facility Maintenance Manager and cross-functional teams to coordinate projects, support audits, and maintain ISO-related processes. Your role will also involve onboarding support, training coordination, and maintaining accurate records and systems that keep the department running smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, communication, and problem-solving, and who wants to play an integral role in supporting facility operations, compliance, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct repair requests to appropriate resolver   
  • Relay plant communications to the department
  • Purchase orders
  • Assist with new hire onboarding
  • Maintain department training logs
  • Vendor coordination
  • Department ISO coordination
  • Plant project coordination
  • Vendor intermediation with other departments
  • Coordinate vendor repairs in CMMS
  • Maintain plant key system
  • Maintain department supply inventory
  • Housekeeping and groundskeeping support
  • Facility maintenance support
  • Project engineering support
  • Department event coordination
  • Internal and external Audit support
  • Represent dept in internal & external audits
  • Coordinate city services
  • Coordinate recycling efforts

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent. Or previous experience.
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Good people skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good Computer skills.
  • Self-motivated and enterprising
  • Good communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to wear all provided personal protective equipment
  • Knowledge of Amcor’s purchasing system
  • Knowledge of ISO, SQF, CPRO systems.
  • Knowledge of GDC Program
