Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Reports to maintenance manager and is responsible to create a robust PM program with the use of MaintainX or CMMS system in an effort to increase reliability of assets across the facility. In addition, this person will also have the technical ability to work on tasks/projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. This person will have the ability to train other technicians on the completion of task created if necessary in an effort to reach 95% PM completion rates. Must comply with all safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards. Responsible for improving work force reliability, scrap, quality and productivity of production equipment along with extended life of facility infrastructure such as air compressors, chillers, pumps, plumbing and air conditioning. This person will work toward eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. This position is the liaison between operations and maintenance ensuring planning, scheduling, and coordination of all plannable maintenance work performed within the facility. The EMT1-P is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters in conjunction with ISO/SQF requirements. Assist maintenance manager with outside vendor scheduling and work will flow. Assist MRO with any parts needed for PMs, predictive maintenance and also create all work orders through MaintainX or CMMS system.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•    Creation of Work Order to drive a reduction in unplanned maintenance through a PM program
•    Utilize maintenance techs reports and time entered into system for both reactive work and preventative work to capture hours utilized vs clock hours
•    Coordinate PM dates with Scheduling and Production weekly against the current production schedule
•    Assist manager with reviewing and analyzing MaintainX records to improve PM schedule and increase effectiveness
•    Work with parts room attendant/ purchaser to be sure parts are kitted for PM's in advance
•    Confirm entry of PM WO's for accuracy of dates time spent and parts consumed
•    Coordinate, plan and schedule MWO's for contractors for PM support, Capital Projects, and facility repairs
•    Assist Safety Manager if needed to be sure all applicable insurance, governmental and safety inspections are scheduled and tracked via MaintainX system
•    Work with maintenance manager and techs to review any and all referenced log documentation and PM check sheets for accuracy 
•    Work with maintenance techs across all shifts to train and communicate work that is planned
•    Verify any necessary required ISO and/or SQF documentation that is needed by working with the ISO and SQF Administrator. 
•    Confirm PM maintenance work orders are completed in a timely manner by all maintenance personnel. Expectations are to be completed during shift.
•    Must comply with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. 
•    Required to maintain consistent and acceptable attendance according to the assigned schedule provided by the manager
•    Meet departmental goals and defined key performance indicators (KPIs)
•    Able to read and interpret pneumatic, instrumentation, hydraulic and electrical drawings and manuals to the extent of transferring the ability to others
•    In-depth advanced abilities to troubleshoot all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and operational issues such as but not limited to; process chilled water systems, heaters, automation, extrusion, printing, etc.  
•    Other duties as assigned my maintenance manager. 

•    Responsible for efficient asset utilization and resource loading. 
•    Responsible for maintaining reducing unplanned downtime with effective PM program.
•    Direct, support and guide all Techs with the use of MaintainX
•    Ensures food safety, good manufacturing practices, and ISO Quality System processes are maintained.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
•    College degree or 8-10+ years’ experience in related field, leadership experience preferred
•    8-10+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
•    Overall knowledge of manufacturing and multistep converting process
•    Strong leadership and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
•    Possess strong analytical skills 
•    Must be a self-starter with organization and ability to multi-task
•    Able to plan short-range and long-range projects
•    Possesses strong project management skills
•    Strong working knowledge of MS Office and MaintainX / CMMS system.
•    Ability to direct, motivate and work effectively with others across all 4 shifts
•    Good understanding of schedule and product line.

Note:  The Maintenance Manager will cover in the event of the EMT1-P absence.
