Job Description

Job Title:  MRO Coordinator  Job Description                                                           Department:  Maintenance

Reports to:  Maintenance Supervisor                                                 FLSA Status: Hourly

Safety Sensitive Position:  Yes

Primary Function:
Responsible for supporting the facility with purchasing plant and production supplies, as well as MRO Parts.  Also supports the Maintenance Department with the PEM program.

Essential Functions:                              

  • Enters Purchase Requisitions in JDE system
  • Orders parts and supplies for all departments
  • Obtains quotes for all departments, as requested
  • Tracks orders
  • Add/delete parts and assign MRO part numbers and locations as needed
  • Insures MRO stock and JDE counts are always accurate
  • Sets up MRO and PEM user ID's for new employees with Helpdesk
  • Insures parts areas in both maintenance shops are kept clean and in proper order
  • Negotiates pricing and lead times verify through JDE
  • Verifies all maintenance personnel are scanning parts
  • Tracks maintenance department cost reductions/avoidance
  • Assists with new employee PEM and MRO training 
  • Assists with special projects as needed
  • Helps receiving department ensure all parts arrive as scheduled
  • Verifies purchased product matches order
  • Distributes maintenance parts and supplies only as they come in after received
  • Maintains parts inventory in maintenance area
  • Enters PM’s into JDE PEM system
  • Enters Req’s for Capex Projects
  • Understanding of department budget

Essential Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day to access office
  • Walking for as much as 60% of workday
  • Sitting to prepare reports and use computer and phone for up to 50% of workday
  • Standing for as much as 50% of workday
  • Bending, twisting, reaching and leaning for as much as 50% of workday
  • Talking to communicate with others for as much as 100% of workday
  • Hearing to communicate with others for as much as 100% of workday
  • Using arms to grasp, handle and type for as much as 90% of workday

Education: 

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3 plus years in inventory control/purchasing preferred

Special Skills:

Self starter

Ability to work independently and with others, as needed

Knowledge of AS400

Must be proficient in Email application, Word, and JDE
