Job Description
The Payroll Supervisor will oversee the Payroll administration team and is responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for 30,000 employees. Accountable and responsible for supporting 150+ locations within Amcor North America including sites of all sizes including Union sites.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Responsible for leadership and guidance to 4-6 payroll processors. First line leader to support operational questions from the team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Track KPI’s, service metrics and continuous improvement outcomes. Analyze trends from the cases and follow up with the appropriate groups for additional training or action. Continuously review and evaluate requests from internal customers to improve processes and enhance system utilization, including reporting.
- Ensure Payroll system configuration is in compliance with governmental regulations and union contract language relevant to payroll practices such as overtime, shifts, meal breaks, etc.
- Maintain HR plan and compliance knowledge and continuously build awareness and knowledge of market and service model trends.
- Point of escalation and support to team for complex cases, regulatory or other non-standard service requests. Prepare exceptions including extraordinary one-off situations needing discerning review and individualized customer service for review with Payroll Manager and then seeing through to completion.
- Participates in Payroll team meetings and supports Payroll roadmap and governance committees.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- 5-7 years of work experience in Human Resources
- 1 year of people management experience
- 2-3 years HR software system experience required, preferably Workday
- Experience in large scale manufacturing environment
- Experience with diverse, multi-location company with various employee classifications required
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or Accounting
