Job Description
To provide management of materials and equipment capacity relating to planning customer requirements, purchasing raw materials, monitor planning of production orders to meet inventory objectives, customer delivery expectations, operational efficiencies and company objectives.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Manage procurement and planning of raw materials including films, foils, and resins, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer demand.
- Create, maintain, and monitor purchase orders; track lead times and confirm material readiness to support on-time customer shipments.
- Maintain accurate records in SAP, including purchase orders, material movements, and system messaging; take appropriate action on system alerts.
- Communicate and align incoming material timelines with production planners and scheduling teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Coordinate and escalate incoming material delays or risks with external warehouses, suppliers, and intercompany plants to minimize disruption.
- Oversee and manage raw material inventory levels, ensuring adherence to FIFO practices and established min/max levels.
- Analyze and manage aged and obsolete inventory, including disposition planning and monthly reporting.
- Coordinate material transfers between plants and warehouses to support production needs and optimize inventory.
- Participate in and support production, planning, and cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on priorities and material availability.
- Serve in a rotational role supporting the SOCR inbox, ensuring timely response and resolution of customer and internal requests.
- Provide coverage and support for stepping and tooling coordination, ensuring materials and components are aligned with production requirements.
- Work closely with resin handlers, procurement, and logistics teams to resolve material issues and coordinate inbound/outbound shipments.
- Manage raw material claims, including documentation, communication, and closure.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material availability, inventory, and service levels.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in WCOM teams and cost-saving projects.
- Act as a backup for other material planners and scheduling roles as needed.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management or a related field (or an equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years’ of experience in material planning, scheduling, or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP/Ariba preferred.
- Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Regular attendance
- Ability to sit up 90% of time.

- Ability to move from one place to another up to 60% of time.
- Ability to work on a computer 100% of time.
- Ability to travel domestically/internationally/globally 0% of time.
