Job Description
About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of thermoforming equipment, surrounding production areas, and maintenance spaces. Daily inspections, cleanup of oil and debris, and support on assigned projects ensure that all work areas remain safe, organized, and compliant with company standards.
Responsibilities
Perform daily visual inspections of thermoforming machines to identify leaks, spills, or contamination.
Conduct preventive cleaning of oil, grease, and debris from around and beneath machines.
Maintain cleaning tools, equipment, and necessary supplies.
Keep drum storage areas and machine surroundings neat, orderly, and compliant with safety expectations.
Work closely with Shift Leads and leadership to report leaks or excessive lubrication.
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all department personnel.
Take control of a machine when a situation poses potential risk of personal injury.
Complete tasks assigned by the Shift Lead or Leadership Group.
Communicate daily activities and findings with Shift Leads, leadership, and department team members.
Perform deep cleaning of clamps and clean doors during machine downtime.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with job requirements, including LOTO, forklift operation, fall protection, and aerial lift certification.
Wear proper PPE at all times based on assigned tasks.
Maintain and enforce all HAACP, SQF, GMP, Safety, and department rules and guidelines.
Qualifications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic aptitude.
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of assigned work.
Dependable, motivated, and supported by a solid work history.
Ability to safely operate a forklift and man lift.
Good reading comprehension and basic math skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around grease, oils, inks, and solvents without adverse reaction.
Ability to safely climb up and down ladders.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for the duration of the shift.
Good manual dexterity in arms and fingers.
20/20 vision with correction, with the ability to detect minor defects.
Ability to differentiate colors accurately.
Additional Information
Compensation: Starting at $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Day Shift)
