Job Description
Position is responsible for maintaining and improving quality system, data analysis, customer interface, quality practices, and continuous improvement activities. The Quality Supervisor will report to the site Quality Manager and will work closely with functional area leaders, corporate support teams, and production team members. The Quality Supervisor will also be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance Technicians across all shifts.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
1. Implement statistical based problem-solving methods using Six Sigma practices, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
2. Monitor process capability thru statistical analysis of lab data and make recommendations for changes to product specifications.
3. Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
4. Supports process and test method validation activities by developing and executing protocols for new or existing processes
5. Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of nonconforming material and ensures that effective root cause analysis is conducted; tracks implementation of corrective/preventive actions. 6. Interfaces with customers and vendors to provide technical support for our products and assures quality of incoming materials.
7. Supports research and development and manufacturing departments to ensure successful transition of products and processes from design to production
8. Evaluates and introduces new measurement techniques to increase repeatability and reproducibility.
9. Serves as part of the ISO and SQF Audit Teams as well as maintains the Compliance Calendar.
10. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
11. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality activities
12. Meets/exceeds quality metrics and goals of claims vs. sales
13. Effectively interact with all internal functional job levels and with external agencies and resources in order to maximize the effectiveness of the quality assurance program.
14. Support and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, quality, high performance and process excellence.
15. Other related duties as assigned.
16. Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement..
It is very crucial that the candidate possesses a strong Quality Assurance background in Manufacturing. SQF, ISO, HACCP experience is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
SUPERVISOR DUTIES AS NEEDED:
1. Direct and oversee the work of Quality Technicians.
2. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
3. Monitor progress and quality of work, and provide feedback and direction to team members.
4. Liaise with other departments, managers, and clients as necessary.
5. Perform regular audits of departments and production lines to ensure they comply with company standards.
6. Provide support and guidance to team members to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
7. Review employee productivity and performance to ensure they meet clients’ requirements or recommend improvements to meet quality standards.
8. Plan, schedule, and conduct training sessions for employees on best practices in quality control methods and techniques
