Job Description
This role provides daily accounting support services to the business group, business unit and sites through research and query of data and assisting in month/quarter/year-end financial closing processes. This role also supports strategic decision making by providing relevant, reliable, timely, and accurate information in the form of various financial reports. In this role you will be expected to perform assignments and solve problems with moderate complexity and impact. Your scope of responsibilities may include giving direction to first-level colleagues.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority
- Compile site, Business Unit (BU) or Business Group (BG) financial and operations reports relating to sales, expenses, and / or balance sheet items
- Support and assist with the preparation of the Monthly Management Report (MMR)
- Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends and activities driving those trends
- Assist in various aspects of the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process, such as journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in annual budgeting process
- Initiate and execute process improvement
- Assist in ensuring adequate controls and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Assist internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience – 1+ years of experience
- SAP experience preferred
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage large amounts of data from multiple systems
- Foundational working knowledge of P&L and balance sheet
