Reporting to:

R&D Development Center Manager / R&D Cluster Head

Scope

Support the development, validation and industrialization of new products and technologies within the R&D Development Center. Contribute to product innovation, sustainability and cost optimization initiatives while ensuring projects meet quality, performance and customer requirements. Work closely with manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams to support successful scale-up and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of R&D projects from concept through validation and industrialization.
  • Conduct laboratory testing, product validation and performance assessments.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports and qualification protocols.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites to support scale-up activities and product launches.
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities during industrial trials and product implementation.
  • Support cost innovation and sustainability initiatives through material, process and design improvements.
  • Work closely with Innovation, Expert Centers and Operations teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Analyze technical data and provide recommendations to support decision making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance, quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, customer needs and emerging technologies.
  • Support business continuity and security of supply initiatives when required.
  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings and communicate project progress effectively.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Delivery of assigned R&D projects and activities within agreed timelines.
  • Quality and completeness of technical documentation.
  • Successful completion of validation and industrialization activities.
  • Support provided to product launches and manufacturing sites.
  • Contribution to cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
  • Compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Participation in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Packaging Engineering, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
  • Open to recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in R&D, product development, manufacturing, engineering, or a technical environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in product development, innovation, sustainability, or manufacturing processes through internships, university projects, placements, or early career experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in product validation, industrialization, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
