Job Overview

 

As a Plant Finance Supervisor, you are responsible in supporting the financial decision-making information by collecting, analysing, investigating and reporting financial data.  You are also responsible in the Company’s capital expenditure and fixed asset monitoring and reporting, leads fixed cost analysis and reporting, operations cost analysis and reporting and inventory cost analysis and reporting. You will also be responsible for monthly accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the month end closing activities. Likewise, Plant finance supervisor is also responsible in ensuring that all financials data and reports complies to accounting standards, Amcor accounting policies and local tax regulations.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Transactional Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly accrual entries.
  • Ensure accurate recording of goods in transit, freight and GRNI.
  • Tracking and updating actual capital expenditures against approved CAPEX budgets to be provided to Engineering
  • Record and analyse monthly depreciation expense.
  • Posting of capital expenditure related entries in the system.
  • Calculation and validation of cost improvement and other plant savings initiatives.
  • Monitoring, processing and recording cross-charges related to P&G Activities to Amcor China
  • Lead monthly inventory activities.
  • Prepare monthly inventory and backflush entries.
  • Coordinates with other members of the finance team to support financial information and forecasts
  • Looks for breakthroughs in process improvement, lead change in the assigned accountabilities
  • Monitor work orders, inventory, and look for anomalies or issues in inventory transactions and stock level.
  • Review CAPEX spend request from operations
  • Control and monitor fixed asset related data and reports (AP, new fixed asset registration, CWIP).

 

Reporting

  • Contribute to the month-end financial closing activities relating to general and fixed asset accounting
  • Produces routine accounts variance analysis, reports, schedules and summaries for review of superior
  • Leads the monthly fixed cost analysis report
  • Prepare monthly inventory report and assess accuracy of inventory provisions.
  • Prepare monthly analysis of operations cost  and submits APEX cost computation to operations
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensures it is maintained and updated in accordance to the accounting monthly closing road maps or checklist
  • Provides support to superior in completing financial budget and forecast reports
  • Collaborates within the internal and external customers to check the process flow effectiveness and provide improvement plans, when necessary.
  • Responsible in reporting problem with regards to FSMS to immediate superior or to any FS team.

 

Training and Development

  • Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations (accounting standards, Tax updates) and accepted practices, participates in training and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and external customer networks
  • Support end-to-end process continuing improvements through performance assessment, 5S, Safety and Lean practices

 

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance; Business management graduate preferably Accountancy
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in management and operations accounting.
  • Proactive and experience in leading
  • Great initiative and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent financial skills, analysing information and reporting
  • Detailed orientation and well organized
  • Ability to multi-task and meet constant deadlines
  • Flexibility and teamwork
  • Strives for continuous improvement, works collaboratively to a multi-department team, provides and receives feedback
  • Well versed and updated in IFR Standards and Philippine tax laws
  • Knowledge of ERP systems ie. QAD accounting system is an advantage
  • This role requires an onsite presence at our office five days per week.
