About the Role
The Senior Manager, Network Infrastructure is responsible for leading the team that supports Amcor’s business groups across the Americas. This role ensures the delivery of reliable network services that align with global standards. The team is responsible for implementing, delivering, supporting, and continuously improving Amcor’s network infrastructure and related hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the team responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, installing, documenting, and supporting enterprise data network infrastructure.
Manage and track multiple projects and team objectives, including work plans, resource allocation, progress reporting, financial controls, and budgets.
Provide guidance regarding current and proposed investments in network infrastructure solutions for enterprise deployments.
Evaluate and recommend new products while maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.
Lead organizational and technology change within a demanding global and regional environment.
Exercise sound judgment when resolving operational problems and proactively identify risks, issues, and potential solutions.
Partner with the Security team to coordinate network security measures that protect corporate systems and data.
Manage network infrastructure suppliers and establish strong partner relationships.
Hold suppliers accountable for restoring services promptly following system or infrastructure failures that affect service delivery to the business.
Prepare and manage annual operating expense and capital expenditure budgets.
Lead network maintenance activities, including annual hardware refreshes, software maintenance, upgrades, and patching.
Ensure that proposed changes are reviewed and approved by the appropriate management teams before resources are committed.
Coordinate reviews with management and relevant stakeholders to assess potential risks to business operations and processes.
Collaborate with global network technology teams and other departments to resolve complex escalations and support changes ranging from routine to highly complex.
Facilitate and coordinate projects involving internal global teams.
Collaborate closely with other members of the IT Operations team.
Drive business value through innovation in services, processes, and technology solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least seven years of relevant professional experience, including five or more years leading technical teams in a large Cisco or HPE Aruba Networking environment.
Strong knowledge of Cisco or HPE Aruba Networking technologies, firewalls, Wi-Fi, WAN technologies, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.
Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, industry trends, and emerging innovations.
Demonstrated ability to lead and engage employees in a high-performance culture, with a strong sense of purpose, accountability, and ownership.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Results-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, respond quickly to business needs, and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of systems and network monitoring, including experience implementing or configuring monitoring tools.
Project management experience with strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualification
ITIL certification.
