Operations Graduate Program

 

 

The next program will start in October 2026. The location of the contract can be in France, Sweden or Germany, depending on the successful candidate. This 18 months development opportunity consist of 3 rotations across Amcor plants in Europe.

As an Amcor Graduate you will gain insight into the assigned function from different perspectives – by managing plant-based daily activities as well as being exposed to regional projects, together with your Manager and Supervisors. You will have a chance to prove your skills on different levels, getting involved with various projects and collaborating with numerous stakeholders with different background, experience, and seniority. Our Graduate Program is designed for creative and motivated thinkers who love learning and taking on new challenges and responsibilities, not afraid of dealing with ambiguity and change.

 

In your role as Operations Graduate, you will :

  • Get well – rounded understanding of production processes for food packaging applications, by working closely with Regional General Manager , as well as plant Operations Managers
  • Collaborate cross – functionally with production, maintenance, engineering and quality teams during process improvement and automation projects
  • Conduct waste analysis to identify process inefficiencies and support CI initiatives
  • Implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) across production
  • Be involved in developing and execution of  ‘what-if’ scenarios, including training and operational readiness support
  • Prepare and communicate updated work instructions for employees following automation deployments and process changes
  • Create and coordinate training plans for automation equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Perform root cause analyses for operational issues, equipment failures and process deviations, and support corrective actions implementation
  • Support 5S deployment activities to improve workplace organization, safety and efficiency
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability and reliability
  • Monitor implementation effectiveness and provide CI idea for operational performance

 

What do you need?

 

It’s a good start to have the following:

  • Higher degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Food Safety or Production Engineering,
  • Internship or work experience within industrial environment, managing process engineering, CI, production management or food safety experience (e.g. food production companies, restaurants)
  • Understanding of lean management tools and principles (Kaizen, 55, Six Sigma etc)
  • Understanding of project management tools, experience in managing projects or project management certificate (e.g. Prosci) highly advantageous
  • MS office advanced knowledge including Excel expertise requested , Power BI skills
  • Fluency in English and one of the following – French, Swedish or German.

  • First international study or work experience as an asset
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad across Europe
  • Permanent work & residence permit allowing to work across entire EU
