About the role
Responsible for both pre and postproduction quality. To perform specific AQL checks and other assorted quality inspections, tests, measurements and performance related duties to ensure high customer satisfaction and satisfactory production. Support materials testing through the business.
8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday; 8am to 4pm Friday
Key Job Accountabilities
- To be entrusted to carry out quality related tasks as specified by the QA Management in an efficient manner, relaying all relevant information to appropriate persons at each level throughout the organisation.
- Inspect relevant product post-production to ensure appropriate quality levels have been achieved according to individual customer requirements and to provide accurate documentation of results.
- Inspect / measure / leak test / general lab test pre-production developments of components to ensure suitability for production, again providing accurate and detailed documentation of findings.
- To perform accurately general QA duties including Shadowgraph measurements, extensive computer data entry/retrieval, weight and capacity analysis, sample collecting and evaluation, ink/component colour evaluation and other basic office duties such as filing.
- To provide Calibration support for all areas of the business. (QA Inspector team role).
- To perform analysis of complaints to support departmental KPI’s. (QA Inspector team role).
- To help maintain First Aid stocks across the site, supporting the health and safety team. (QA Inspector team role).
- To support development of new materials and products by conducting lab-based testing as required.
- To provide Quality training for all production departments.
- On occasion, visit external customers/suppliers/out-work facilities to respond to quality issues.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, quality and environment management.
- Ensure that your work area is kept safe, clean and tidy.

- Ability to undertake duties in every respect as laid out in the job description (further to training if required.
- Proven experience in a production area to be able to identify the range of faults and attain the necessary background knowledge of the processes.
- No formal qualifications in quality required as full and comprehensive QA training program undertaken before competency attained.
- Driving licence as visits to customers/suppliers may occasionally be required.
