About the Role

The Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of regional accounts across the DACH region within the Healthcare Rigid Packaging division. The role combines account management of existing customers with a strong focus on new business development, operating within a broader EMEA regional accounts structure covering over 300 accounts and a team of five sales managers across different sub-regions. The position offers significant untapped commercial potential and requires a hunter mindset to develop markets that have not been fully explored in recent years.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop a portfolio of regional accounts across the DACH region, building long-term customer partnerships
  • Drive new business development aggressively, with approximately 70% of the role focused on hunting and pipeline growth
  • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, contracts and agreements to maximise profitability and contribution margin
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline and CRM processes accurately and consistently
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across manufacturing, supply chain and commercial functions to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Identify and develop new opportunities across the assigned territory, contributing to revenue growth against budget and prior year targets

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in primary packaging is a priority — rigid packaging background is essential, ideally within Healthcare. Candidates from Beauty & Wellness, Personal Care or Food & Beverage rigid packaging will also be considered
  • Proven hunting and account management experience with an existing network in the relevant sector
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a track record of delivering sales results
  • Fluent in German and English — German is non-negotiable for this role
  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field preferred
  • Contract management experience is a plus
