Making Strides
"In March 2021, my wife Becki had a routine mammogram that led to life changing news. At 41 years old, Becki was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The year was filled with surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation. But that makes it sound way too simple – it does not even begin to describe the physical and emotional struggles that both her and our family would go through.
While our family had struggles, we were actually quite blessed. Our troubles were not going to stop us from being able to have a regular family dinner each night. This kept us together.
Our lived experience leads us to be passionate volunteers for breast cancer causes. Making Strides raises funds to directly support patients with breast cancer, survivors, thrivers, and care givers.
I can’t say enough as to how proud I am to work for Amcor, the only manufacturing company in the area to be a Corporate Sponsor of the event."

Amcor Basketball Challenge
The Boscobel location started a new fundraiser at the local high school basketball games to raise funds for community and school needs!
During the halftime program, the Amcor Basketball Challenge invites participants to make a small donation for the chance to toss a mini basketball into a garbage can in the middle of the court. Winners get up to $100 in cash!
"The boys' basketball coordinators are amazed how much money and excitement this brought to the games. It is bringing in more spectators to each game and the school does an amazing job recognizing Amcor. They have embraced this from the start and made it their own," shared Boscobel Plant Manager John Morovits.
Amcor Cares is excited to see the enthusiasm around the program and support our colleagues' kids.
