ZURICH, September 5, 2025 — Amcor (NYSE: AMCR, ASX: AMC), a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, will showcase its wide-ranging capabilities in both rigid and flexible packaging on Stand 310, Hall 6 at this year’s Fachpack, being held in Nuremberg, Germany from 23rd to 25th September.
The range of products on display will demonstrate the company’s ability to devise tailored solutions to meet the many different requirements of brands in food, non-food and industrial markets, combining aesthetics and functionality while helping companies to meet and exceed their sustainability goals.
Highlights on the stand include Amcor’s recently launched range of reusable cups and lids; lightweighted food containers; latest closure innovations, including a new flip top closure for sauces; containers with recycled plastic and enhanced recyclability; and a wide selection of films for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging. Amcor will also showcase its proprietary CleanStream® technology – its domestically recovered, mechanically recycled polypropylene (PP) for contact-sensitive, homecare and industrial applications.
“Sustainability remains a major consideration for companies in all their packaging developments, but at the same time, elements such as functionality, consumer convenience, aesthetics and branding are also essential requirements,” said Philipp Richter, sales director Food Central Europe for Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions International.
“Fachpack provides an excellent opportunity to focus on the many ways we can support our customers in the creation of packaging solutions across a diverse range of markets.”
Amcor’s new reusable cups range meets increasing demand for alternative solutions to single-use packaging. Ideal for both on-site and takeaway requirements, the cups combine reusability with a premium quality feel and high-impact branding opportunities. They are dishwasher safe, lightweight but exceptionally durable, and can be recycled when they finally reach their end of life, where appropriate recycling facilities exist.
From an extensive closure range that includes a variety of flat caps and sports closures from 26mm to 48mm, Amcor will showcase the new Modena Flip Top TE (tamper-evident) closure, which has been designed to offer a versatile and more sustainable closure for vinegar, sauces and dressings. Its lightweight mono material construction delivers improved recyclability, while the TE feature is seamlessly integrated within the flip-top lid. This allows easy one-handed actuation where the TE tabs are captured within the closure body after opening to avoid littering. Available in a variety of orifice sizes, the Modena provides controlled pouring for maximum consumer convenience.
Other closure innovations on display include the lightweight Sava Flip Top, ideal for sauces and dressings, and the Sunny and Pical Pouring closures, developed for edible oils and featuring a variety of orifice sizes and styles to suit different product characteristics.
The wide choice of containers on show that are available for food and non-food use include initiatives such as lightweighting, the incorporation of recycled plastic, and the incorporation of robust plastic handles, which provide a mono-material pack solution for easier recycling.
Another solution on display will be Amcor’s Politainer, which offers safe and effective transportation for products such as inks, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, foods, and cosmetics. The polyethylene container is held within a sturdy cardboard outer and allows almost complete evacuation while preventing air from entering. It delivers up to 75% plastic weight reduction compared to a rigid plastic container of similar capacity, and empty packs are shipped flat packed to help optimize supply chain efficiency.
Amcor’s extensive range of flexible packaging solutions covers a wide variety of markets, including nutrition, health, beauty, wellness and industrial. At Fachpack, the company will showcase how it can help customers across many different types of industrial applications as well as in the food and beverage industry. Many of Amcor’s advanced industrial films are now available with high levels of recycled content, including the specialist NorDiVent® ventilated Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) film – available with up to 50% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) material and RecyClass certification for recyclability – designed to provide a long-term, dust and moisture-free packaging solution for a variety of powdery products. Its durable, high tear-resistant construction ensures consistently reliable performance, releasing air in a dust-free manner while delivering effective moisture protection that enables sacks to be stored outdoors. Amcor will also feature its single wound sheet and FFS films, which can be produced with high PCR content while maintaining robust performance, processing efficiency, and versatile print options for a wide range of industrial applications.
For pallet protection, Amcor will present Stretch Hood films – a high-performance solution engineered to secure loads across a wide range of challenging applications. Available in five core blends to meet different performance and operational requirements, selected stretch hood films contain up to 30% PCR. They offer excellent elasticity, puncture resistance, and holding force to keep loads stable during transport, while delivering strong optical clarity for barcodes and branding.
For pallet stabilization, Amcor will showcase Bontite® and Stratos™ stretch wrap films. Bontite, a blown film, is engineered for high-speed, high-volume applications, delivering up to 300% stretch with excellent puncture and tear resistance for secure load containment. Selected grades contain 30% PCR, helping customers reduce virgin plastic use while maintaining strength and performance. Its high strength at reduced thickness supports material savings and cost efficiency. Stratos, a cast film, provides an ultra-lightweight solution that delivers sustainability advantages by using a lighter gauge than many conventional cast machine films on the market.
Amcor will also present recycle-ready flexible packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry, combining design for recycling with the option to incorporate recycled content. This includes mono-material films that can replace traditional multi-material PET/PE and OPET/PE laminates, enabling packaging that is recycle-ready without compromising sealing performance, product protection, or shelf appeal.
Also featured will be Omni® Xtra+ cling film – a recycle-ready polyethylene alternative to PVC cling film, offering high clarity, anti-fog performance, and strong shelf presence – and collation shrink films designed to deliver secure pack integrity with the option of including PCR content.
