Stelvin®, the original wine closure, developed more than 50 years ago, is the market reference. Stelvin® is a packaging concept which combines a screw cap, specific glass finish (BVS), head-space & capping conditions, and sophisticated liners tailor made for wine.
Two closure models
Our entry-level product in the Stelvin® closure range, this original Stelvin® closure lends itself to a range of printed decorations on both the top and skirt.
Offering a more premium alternative to the original Stelvin® closure, Stelvin®+ closures can include top embossing and more intricate detailed designs through screen printing techniques.
Compatible bottle neck finishes
Stelvin® closures must be used with following standardised glass wine bottle neck finishes:
- BVS finish BVP-GME 30.13
- BVS finish US-GPI 1680-03
Choice of liners for greater control of oxygen transmission
In addition to the two commonly available liners for aluminium closures: Saranex™ & Saran™Tin, we offer an additional four liners, the Stelvin® Inside range, which offer differing oxygen permeability.
All of the films used in the Stelvin® Inside liners are PVDC-Free. The liners are manufactured exclusively by our development partner MGJ, a leading container seal specialist.
These liners give wine makers greater choice in oxygen transmission rates, to help craft and perfect their wine.
