Primary Purpose of Position:

Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on plant production equipment and facilities equipment.  


  1. Accountable for all projects, repairs, and/or improvement on the equipment as well as any mold changes and maintaining preventative maintenance.
  2. Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment.
  3. Improve the production equipment, utilities, efficiency and reliability.
  4. Recommend, plan, repair, modify, make, install and adjust all the necessary elements following a problem or a project, which may have an effect of the productivity.
  5. Analyze and resolve all issues related to the equipment.
  6. Ensures Service Technicians are scheduled for repairs/upgrades.
  7. Review Visual management boards and address issues.
  8. Ensure production equipment is performing to 87% company standard and addressing any deficiencies.
  9. Report to Maintenance Manager the progress of projects, general maintenance needs and improvements.
  10. Create and/or revise work instructions.
  11. Ensure needed parts are on site for upcoming PM’s.
  12. Ensures cleanliness of all equipment and related areas after repairs of PM’s.
  13. Keep all tools in good and safe condition and ensure tools are returned to its appropriate location.
  14. Assist in updating, and developing and improving equipment PM programs.
  15. Communicate to supervisors on the condition of all production equipment.
  16. Direct and advise production employees when they help with repairs.
  17. Assist and train production employees in machine conversions and PM’s
  18. Assist in machine operation if need arises.
  19. Assist in maintaining appropriate stock of spare parts ensuring that parts catalogue is up-to-date room is organized and kept clean and tidy.
  20. Assist contractors in machine and building repairs
  21. Assist other maintenance employees with repairs, PM, installation, commissioning and testing of equipment.
  22. Drive Process Control procedures.
  23. Flexible – if over time required and vacation replacement.
  24. Must be available for on-call duty including weekends and holidays.
  25. Perform all duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner.



  • Must have high school education or equivalent.
  • Must have 18 – 24 months of Maintenance experience.
  • Electro mechanic or mechanical certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • The ability to read, write and speak English relating to operation of machine and quality specifications..
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Mastery of multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Has the authority to shut down production equipment to prevent the production defective product and place product on hold if it does not meet the customer/company specification.
  • Must successfully complete the position training program.

    You have the right to hold for inspection; any product you feel does not meet customer/company specifications.

  • Those employees with authorized training, have the ability to shut down/stop equipment if continued operation is a threat to any employee’s health and safety.

  • Authority to stop any observed unsafe practices.
