Operates Press to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications:
Operate press, troubleshoot and monitor press operation.
Prepares press by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by matching inks, resolving defects and adjustments to exceed customer expectation.
By performing a variety of make ready task and press operations from mixing inks and solvents, replenishing supplies, resolving printing defects and adjustments to press to produce high quality product.
Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy. Makes sure jobs are complete and error free. Inspect cartons for proper color, register, cutting, creasing and defect free.
Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment. Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate personal protective equipment at all times while in designated areas and specific tasks requiring the use of PPE. Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
Motivates Team to improve quantity and quality of work performed, provide training as required.
High School diploma (or GED), and a minimum of 3 years of press operation with specific Gravure printing and troubleshooting.
Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.
