Our continued commitment to the pharmaceutical industry is strong, with 18 pharmaceutical packaging plants in 11 countries. We are keeping our focus on the global pharmaceutical markets and have a new dedicated team in place.
Further, a dedicated global pharmaceutical management team – with Vice Presidents representing the different regions of the world – oversees Amcor’s global pharma strategy, activities and R&D.

Polybar®-Aclar® and Polybar®-COC
Polybar®-Aclar® and Polybar®-COC high performance thermoform materials are ideal products for highly moisture sensitive products available in mid to high barrier structures. Polybar®-COC coex materials offer mid to high range barrier, good yield, and are halogen free. Polybar®-Aclar® is a crystal clear ultra high barrier laminate that offers chemical resistance and is non aging. Polybar® is recommended for packaging applications where excellent barrier, transparency and crush resistance are required. Aclar® is a registered mark of Honeywell.

Formpack®
Formpack® is the original brand of cold form blisters that continues to set the standards for unparalleled performance and quality. Formpack® features an impermeable barrier to moisture, light, oxygen, and other gases as well as unsurpassed forming capabilities. Further, Formpack® holds extreme dimensional stability and is capable of withstanding excessive temperatures. As the market leading cold form material, Formpack® is unique in its tradition of customer trust.
Amcor’s peelable laminations
Amcor’s peelable laminations for unit dose oral dissolve strip packs provide a user-friendly, easy-peel open pack engineered to process on high speed equipment. The peelable PET foil laminate seals and peels to itself and provides easy processing on high-speed equipment with consistent peel strength. The package offers controlled peelability to avoid damage to fragile drug strip during opening and is designed for precise print repeat control over long machine index length.

Amcor’s TearStick®
Amcor’s TearStick® is a single-use packaging solution offering easy tear opening and convenient dispensing directly from the pack; ideal for pharmaceutical powders, granulates, creams, gels and liquids. TearStick® offers many benefits. TearStick® is a lower cost solution versus traditional notched or slit tear packs. It can be used as a way to enhance brand awareness because of its unique packaging format. TearStick® is also offered in a child resistant SafeStick™ that utilizes a print registered tear initiation point that is not evident to children (tears easily, but only at printed indicator).
Dessiflex™
Dessiflex™ packaging solutions integrate desiccant particles into the sealing layer using a solventless coextrusion coating process. The active sealing layer of Dessiflex™ offers additional functionality to our traditional packaging solutions such as sachets, strip packs, flow packs, and even Formpack®.

NCRYPT® pharma security solutions represents an innovative and proven approach in delivering patient safety, supply chain integrity and pharmaceutical brand protection. Three pillars form the foundation of the N’CRYPT® program:
