Polybar® - High Performance Thermoformable Materials

Amcor expands expertise in high performance materials by adding thermoformable materials to its suite of products. Packages made with materials from Amcor provide the peace of mind that they meet all the requirements set for blister packs and optimal product protection for pharmaceutical applications.

Polybar® thermoformable films complement maximum barrier cold-formable Formpack® cold-formable blister materials by providing protection in the medium to very high moisture barrier range. Along with Formpack® and Lid stock, Amcor's Polybar® materials are used worldwide for various applications in many markets.

Polybar®-COC Coex materials offer mid to high range barrier, good yield, and is halogen free. Polybar®- Aclar is a crystal clear ultra high barrier laminate that offers chemical resistance and is non aging. Polybar® is recommended for packaging applications where excellent barrier, transparency and crush resistance are required. The chart below compares barrier values of various films typically used in pharmaceutical packaging. For higher barrier materials, the thickness determines the amount of barrier provided.
