There are no standard sizes for cartonboard, as both carton design and the type of printing press used can vary for each finished carton. We process every order exactly to your nominated specifications.
Sheeters cut the cartonboard into the sheet size required. As a final quality control, the duplex sheeter has an in-built fault detection and ejection unit for sheets that are not up to standard. The sheets are palletised and shrink-wrapped for delivery.
Alternatively, a rewinder will slit larger rolls into reels if you prefer product in this form. Each reel is stretch-wrapped for storage and transport.
Our large jumbo roll storage facility enables the supply of all products on either a weekly or fortnightly basis from a stockpile of full machine rolls . This guarantees prompt and regular supply, as the buffer it provides allows the board making and finishing schedules to operate independent of each other. That is, orders for one grade can be supplied from stock while the board machine is manufacturing another, thereby improving both production efficiency and customer service. Up to 11,000 tonnes of service stock can be held in the Petrie site's jumbo roll store.
