Amcor has changed substantially over teh past three years
Three years ago, the Company embarked on ‘The Way Forward’ program with the aim of building core competencies across a range of disciplines and creating a more focused portfolio of businesses.
The success of this program has delivered substantially improved performance in the areas of customer and market focus, talent management and capital discipline.

These improvements have been instrumental in changing the culture and establishing a strong business platform from which to grow.

The future requires continued improvement in these core competencies – a journey that never finishes.

The future also involves a greater emphasis on growth – both organic and through acquisitions. This growth will continue to be focused on the custom PET business, flexibles and tobacco packaging in emerging and attractive markets, as well as glass wine bottles in Australia.

Amcor’s plans for the future also include greater attention on the environmental impact of the products we make. We have set targets, both short and long term, for substantial improvements in the environmental performance of our operations.

We are working with all our stakeholders on the sustainability issue, ensuring we understand their needs and improve the value propositions we offer. Achieving this objective requires a focus on innovation and collaboration with our customers to deliver environmentally friendly solutions to the marketplace.

This is an exciting time for Amcor. Following three years of a ‘get fit’ program, we are now moving to the next stage of development, clearly focused on the targeted growth market segments and supported by substantially improved core capabilities.
