Water Giving Project - Aims and Implementation

The implementation of the water giving project into manufacturing sites across Australia will be undertaken in a staged approach – recognising the need to engage with the staff and the community to develop a meaningful partnership and sustainable project. The feasibility of each site will be considered, taking into account:

• The space available for installing the tanks and the suitability of the facilities to ensure good water quality
• The staff engagement potential – the numbers of staff to be reached, the identification of a site champion and the willingness and ability to support the process
• The community engagement potential – locating and working with a partner that has the capacity to distribute the water free of charge

It is anticipated that 20 sites will have tanks installed during this project.

A “Site Engagement” support kit has been developed to assist each site to undertake the implementation.
